More new babies to delight children at local wildlife park

Council tip and recycling centre now open seven days a week

Easter is traditionally the time to start work on those DIY projects, tidy the garden and prepare for summer.

So from this weekend the council tip nearest Kings Heath, at Lifford Lane, will be open seven days a week from 8am to 8pm.  There will also be expanded areas for garden waste.

Of course it can get a bit busy at this time of year, so the city council is advising people to visit on Tuesday to Thursday if they can and before 10am and after 3pm weekdays.
