A new guide to encourage visitors to discover and explore historic Highbury Park has been published as part of King's Heath Floral Trail's entry into Britain in Bloom 2012. Artist Catharine Clarke and ecologist Ellen Pisolkar, who are both local residents, have collaborated to publish the first illustrated guide to this much loved park. And Catharine's illustrations for the guide are on display until 17 September at…

Volunteers needed for Kings Heath Britain in Bloom

As you may know, Kings Heath has a Britain In Bloom judging day on Tuesday 7th August this year. This is the first time Kings Heath has made it into to National part of In Bloom and it is a great achievement for Kings Heath.
It is also a great opportunity to use the 'leverage' that this gives us to get Birmingham City Council, Centro, BT and other agencies to tackle a range of on-going problems in the KH area. For example we are hopeful that, possibly for the first time in…

Fletcher's Bar review

A welcome addition to Kings Heath's true High Street, the new Fletcher's Bar has opened in York Road.
