Last minute effort to avoid pancakes on ice

Organisers of this year's Kings Heath Great Pancake Race are hoping today's event can go ahead after a last minute effort by volunteers to clear snow off the course.

Local people and businesses came forward after town centre manager Kate Smart appealed for help in getting the Village Square ready for the event this afternoon.
