Double fireworks celebration for Kings Heath

more local news

Lucky residents of Kings Heath will have two spectacular firework celebrations to choose from this bonfire night weekend.

After a gap of two years, the Moseley Round Table has returned to the event organisation with a new venue. The Round Table will stage its largest charity fundraising event of the year at the Kings Heath transport ground on Saturday 3 November.

They had been the long-standing organisers of the biggest fireworks event in south Birmingham at Kings Heath Cricket Club for many years - with a funfair, beer tent and impressive firework display set to music. When the Table pulled out in 2010, the venue carried on and took over the organisation.

Now Kings Heath Cricket Club has announced that the show will go on - in addition to the Moseley Round Table event on Sunday night. The venue on Alcester Road South will stage its event on the Saturday night and says the money raised will go towards supporting its local youth sport teams.

Do we know if tickets are available in advance? And if so, do I just go to the venue (and will they be open in the day?) So many questions! :) (Missed out last year)
