Inspired by Wimbledon? - try free tennis in Kings Heath

Kings Heath families can capture the spirit of Wimbledon with free events at the local tennis club.

On the Saturday after the final at the All England Club, Kings Heath Tennis Club will be open free for anyone to have a go. There will be special mini-tennis for children between 3 and 10 years old, junior coaching and family sessions.

The kiddies' sessions are part of an LTA programme sponsored by Highland Spring. With smaller courts, nets and rackets and lower bouncing balls, LTA Mini Tennis offers the perfect introduction to the sport, with all the fun and energy of the real thing.

Club coaches will be on hand for anyone else wanting to use the full size court – with all equipment provided. There is no need to book for any of the sessions – just turn up on the day.

Then on the Sunday of the post-Wimbledon weekend, Kings Heath Tennis Club on Alcester Rd South will again be open to non-members with pay and play sessions all day.
