Kings Heath police are appealing for witnesses after five youths had their phones stolen as they left a local park.
"The youths had been playing ‘Pokemon Go’ and the phones had been on view," said neighbourhood sergeant Anna Wilson. "No-one was hurt during the incident however despite searching the area, we are still seeking to identify the offenders."
Thefts took place as the youngsters left Cannon Hill Park via the Russell Road gate on Monday afternoon around 4.45pm.
Pokemon Go is a game where you have to catch virtual creatures, but they are set in real life locations based on the GPS location sensor in your phone. Cannon Hill Park is full of pokestops and pokegyms and has become a popular venue for the game over the summer school holidays.
